About us
'Wawakuna' is derived from Quechua, which was the main language in the old inca-empire in the 15th and 16th centuries and is still used by many Peruvians. The word means children. Who knows Peru, also knows that through the entire nation there are several NGOs (Non-Governmental-Organisations) that dedicate themselves to the rights of children. Most of them focus on the young children. Foundation Wawakuna dedicates herself to the adolescents, whom according to children's rights organisations throughout the world still are and should be allowed to be children.
